All ten Day Masters · BaZi, the Chinese zodiac and Western astrology: how they differ
Geng Metal Day Master: The Steel
The more you're tested, the sharper you get.
Decisive and tough, you get better under pressure. Clear-headed when things flow, sharp when tested; loyal, and more moved by kindness than by force.
- At your best
- Decisive; you get stronger through challenge.
- With people
- Loyal; when a friend is in trouble, you show up first.
- Blind spot
- Force makes you dig in; gentleness reaches you faster.
- At work
- Work where hard calls are the job: engineering, law, investigation, security and emergency services, athletics, turnarounds.

The Day Master is only the first layer. The same Day Master reads very differently depending on the month, season and the other seven characters, so a full reading looks at the whole chart.
